אחד ביום - הדרך לפיגוע בסידני

אתמול, במהלך חגיגות הדלקת נר ראשון של חנוכה על חוף בונדיי בסידני שבאוסטרליה, הגיעו שני מחבלים חמושים, אב ובנו, ופתחו בירי אל תוך ההמון. מדובר בפיגוע מזעזע וחריג אבל במבט רחב יותר על השנתיים האחרונות באוסטרליה, אפשר לזהות שורה של אירועים שקדמו לו, ואולי אפילו סללו את הדרך אליו. הפעם אנחנו עם ג׳סי אמסלם מסידני, ועם המאבק של הקהילה היהודית באוסטרליה.

‏אלעד: היום יום שני, 15 בדצמבר ואנחנו "אחד ביום" מבית N12. אני אלעד שמחיוף ואנחנו כאן כדי להבין טוב יותר מה קורה סביבנו. סיפור אחד ביום, בכל יום.

‏[הקלטה, ברקע מוזיקת חנוכה]

Koby: “Ha, OK, Thank you. Ha?”

Unknown speaker: “How many?”

Koby: “One it’s enough. just to feel Hannukah.”

‏אלעד: קובי פרקש הסתפק בסופגנייה אחת. הוא רק רצה להרגיש את החג, כך הוא אמר. המצלמה שלו בשלב הזה התמקדה בעצמו, בביס שנתן בסופגנייה. ואז קובי, תייר מישראל, הוא סובב את המצלמה וצילם את האירוע. אפשר לראות לא מעט אנשים, לשמוע מוזיקה של חנוכה ברקע. האירוע נראה מאורגן, מושקע. ממה שאפשר לראות, הנוף פסטורלי. ואז, מעט אחר כך, קובי צילם גם סרטון שני [ברקע קולות ירי וסירנות משטרה]. הסרטון הזה כבר שונה לגמרי. אפשר לראות בו עשרות אנשים רצים, רצים בבהלה. ברקע כבר לא שומעים מוזיקת חנוכה, אלא שומעים יריות. כ-1,000 חוגגים היו באירוע של חב"ד בבונדיי ביץ', וכולם הפכו למטרה של שני יורים חמושים היטב, שרצו פשוט להרוג כמה שיותר יהודים.

Jessy: Hey, umm… my name is Jessy, I am 31 year old architect, living in Sydney, I’m born and raised here, and yeah, I’ve been very close to the jewish community in Sydney my whole life so I know a lot of people…

‏אלעד: כמה שעות אחרי הפיגוע בבונדיי ביץ, אנחנו דיברנו עם ג'סי אמסלם. הוא יהודי, אוסטרלי, Sydney born and raised. הוא היה המום, הוא היה פשוט בשוק.

Jessy: So, I went to my sister’s house this evening, and we lit the Hanukkah candles, my sister made latkes, and then I went home, and all of a sudden…

‏אלעד: ג'סי העביר את ערב החג אצל אחותו, לא רחוק מבונדיי ביץ'. הם החליטו השנה להדליק את הנר הראשון ביחד, במסגרת משפחתית מצומצמת. ואז הגיע הטלפון הראשון.

Jessy: A friend who lives in Bondi called me and was like: ‘Hey, I’ve been hearing shooting for about 10 minutes now, over 50 shots’. and I thought, this doesn’t really happen in Australia, we don’t have guns. Guns are really hard to come by. It’s not like in the U.S or something, where you hear about shooting all the time. Like, we don’t really have shootings in Australia.

‏אלעד: מה שהפתיע את ג'סי זה לא שניסו לפגוע ביהודים באוסטרליה, אלא שעשו את זה עם נשק חם, עם רובים. זה לא דבר נפוץ בקצה ההוא של העולם, ולכן, ג'סי קיווה שהחבר מהצד השני של הקו אולי טועה, אולי לא הבין נכון. אלא שהטלפון של ג'סי לא הפסיק לצלצל.

Jessy: Then I started getting more and more phone calls from people, and it started being like, hold on, this is real. And then the WhatsApp videos came through, and I’m seeing a man standing on this little bridge that leads to the… to the beach there, which I’ve walked over 10,000 times with my friends. I used to live 200 meters from there, I used to walk there like multiple times a day. I was there yesterday. And I see this man standing there with a giant shotgun, just shooting at people at random.

‏אלעד: ג'סי הבין בשלב הזה, זה אמיתי. החברים בטלפון שתיארו אירוע שנשמע לא הגיוני לא טעו. הסרטונים שהוא התחיל לקבל ממקומות שהוא נמצא בהם בכל יום, הסרטונים האלה אמיתיים.

Jessy: And then the videos came through of the people at the park, actually being shot, dying in front of us.

‏אלעד: כ-120 אלף יהודים חיים באוסטרליה, קצת יותר משליש מהם בסידני. ג'סי העביר אתמול שעות בטלפון עם המון אנשים, כי הוא מכיר המון אנשים שהיו שם, בבונדיי ביץ'. זו לא קהילה גדולה, ובין היהודים בסידני יש אווירה כזו שכולם כאילו מכירים את כולם.

Jessy: The Jewish community in Sydney is based around a few suburbs with Bondi kind of being the heart of it, umm… up to a few other coastal neighborhoods. So the vast majority of the Sydney jewish community live within 15 minutes drive of each other. We usually tend to go to one of two schools, or three schools within the whole city. People tend to date in the same circles, They socialise in the same circles. So really, you’re never that far away from anyone in the Jewish community here. Everyone does kind of know everyone, and if you don’t know them directly, you know somebody who knows them.

‏אלעד: אני הייתי שם לפני קצת יותר משנה, בנובמבר 2024, בסדרה של מפגשים שערכתי עם הקהילות היהודיות בסידני ובמלבורן. כבר אז הם דיברו על כמה המצב חמור, על כמה המצב מפחיד. האנטישמיות הייתה אז במגמת עלייה. ההפגנות האנטי-ישראליות הפכו לעניין שבשגרה, והן קרו, באופן לא מקרי, סמוך לשכונות שבהן גרים יהודים. אחד הדברים שתפסו אותי אז היה אלמנט ההפתעה. בלונדון, בפריז, בניו יורק, יהודים יגידו לכם שעוצמת האנטישמיות מעולם לא הייתה גבוהה כל כך. השנאה, האלימות, הן לא היו אינטנסיביות כל כך, אבל אנטישמיות הייתה שם בעבר. בלונדון, בפריז, בניו יורק, זו לא תופעה חדשה. אבל זהו, שבאוסטרליה, רבים בקהילה היהודית אמרו לי שלא נתקלו בה בעבר. אני זוכר בחור מסידני שאמר לי שאנטישמיות, מבחינתו, תמיד הייתה משהו שקורה במקומות רחוקים.

Jessy: Jews always felt very safe in Australia. My grandma came here after the war, from Hungary, and then my grandfather came from… originally from Tunisia and from… then from Paris, here in the mid 50s, and jews were very celebrated here, They built a lot of the culture and the industry here, that was built by jewish immigrants in the 50s, and a lot of other jewish immigrants of that era went into, you know, the clothing production, and fashion, and real estate, or maybe theater, or writing, or artwork, all sorts of really great things for the community. So from the 1950s onwards in Australia, jews were very celebrated. And when I was growing up, I don’t think we felt a huge amount of antisemitism. Occasionally you’d get some kid from another school would call you a jew or something on the bus, but you got on with life.

‏אלעד: ואז הגיע השבעה באוקטובר, וג'סי בכלל היה בישראל.

Jessy: On October 7th, I woke to 20 phone calls from my auntie in Ashdod calling me, telling me “The balagan is starting”. Those were her words.

‏אלעד: באותה שבת ג'סי מצא את עצמו מתחבא בזמן מתקפת רקטות. הוא צילם והעלה את התיעוד של עצמו לאינסטגרם, וכבר אז הוא הבין שמשהו בבית, באוסטרליה, השתנה.

Jessy: I was already being met with messages from people, back home in Australia, of like: “Hey, glad you’re okay, but don’t you think the Israelis kind of deserved this?”

‏[הקלטה] קהל צועק: "آللّٰهُ أَكْبَر! آللّٰهُ أَكْبَر! آللّٰهُ أَكْبَر!"

‏אלעד: בתשעה באוקטובר בסידני התארגנה ההפגנה האנטי ישראלית הראשונה. בית האופרה המפורסם של העיר הפך לתפאורה עבור אלפי מפגינים שהניפו דגלים, שקראו קריאות, קריאות לא רק נגד ישראל, אלא גם נגד יהודים.

Jessy: And these people who were protesting were burning the Israeli flag, one day after October 7th. and they were chanting things, and there was video avidence of them yelling “Gas the Jews” and “Fuck the Jews”.

Protesters: “Where’s the jews?! Where’s the jews?! Where’s the jews?!”

Jessy: And the police finally made an assessment that they were actually were saying: “Where’s the jews?” which they deemed as not being antisemitic.

‏[הקלטה]

Mal Lanyon: “As a result of that examinations, the expert has concluded with overwhelming certainty that the phrase chanted during that protest, as recorded on the audio and visual files, was ‘Where’s the jews?’”

‏אלעד: בהסתכלות של הקהילה היהודית-האוסטרלית החוצה, זה היה קו השבר הראשון. ההפגנה האגרסיבית, ההמונית, ב-9 באוקטובר, הצעקות של מה שנשמע כמו "Gas the jews", ואחר כך, החקירה המשטרתי שקבעה שכנראה צעקו שם "Where's the jews?". והסאבטקסט של הרשויות שכאילו - הנה, עכשיו הכל בסדר.

Jessy: So apparently, a bunch of guys aggressively burning Israel flags, chanting “Where’s the jews?” is not a problem. So in that moment, I think that was a real turning point for a lot of Jews in this country, because we realised the police and the government are no longer supporting us, and that’s when really people started to lose faith in the structure of this country, and how it’s gonna support us when things are getting bad. and then, our recent government has been gradually taking more and more steps to make us feel more unsupported.

‏אלעד: הממשלה האוסטרלית היא ממשלת שמאל מתון, ושתי הדמויות הבכירות שבה עברו, די מהר, אחרי שבעה באוקטובר, למערכת יחסים מתוחה משהו מול הקהילה היהודית.

Sky News Australia reporter: “In the grainy video Mr. Albanese can be seen protesting against Israel’s occupation of Palestine, next to a sign that reads “Stop the Israeli Slaughter, free Palestine now”.”

‏אלעד: ראש הממשלה הוא אנטוני אלבנזי, והעובדה שנחשף שבתחילת הקריירה שלו, לפני כמה עשורים, הוא השתתף ונאם בהפגנה אנטי-ישראלית, היא לא עזרה לבנות אמון מול הקהילה היהודית. אבל בעיקר היו לו כמה החלטות שהוא קיבל כבר בשלב הראשון. ב-23 באוקטובר 2023, אנחנו כשבועיים אחרי הטבח, הממשלה האוסטרלית העבירה מיליונים לארגונים הומניטריים בעזה והטיפה לישראל שהזכות להגנה עצמית היא לא דבר בלתי מוגבל. שרת החוץ האוסטרלית, פני וונג, היא הגיעה לביקור בישראל, היא נפגשה עם משפחות חטופים, אבל מהביקור שלה בארץ, היהודים באוסטרליה זוכרים לה בעיקר דבר אחד.

Jessy: When they sent one of our ministers to Israel, post October 7th, they outwardly refused to go visit the Nova site. They made a point to not go down to the kibbutz, where all these massacres had happened, which what did that signal to the jewish community back home, it was “well, we don’t care about your trauma and your pain”.

‏אלעד: אז, בנובמבר 2024, הקפיץ אותי אדם מוכר בקהילה היהודית במלבורן לשיחה שערכתי עם תלמידים בתיכון היהודי הגדול במדינה. עברנו בדרך לשם בשכונות היהודיות, ליד מוסדות יהודים. וכמו ששני אנשים נורמלים היו מדברים על מזג האוויר, אנחנו דיברנו על אבטחה. אני זרקתי משהו, נדמה לי שאמרתי שהאבטחה מרשימה, והוא? הוא גיחך. אחרי השבעה באוקטובר, הוא סיפר לי, האיומים על הקהילה היהודית זינקו. בעשור שלפני שבעה באוקטובר, בכל שנה, במשך 10 שנים, היו באוסטרליה כ-342 תקריות אנטישמיות בממוצע. ב-11 החודשים הראשונים אחרי שבעה באוקטובר דווחו במדינה 2,062 תקריות. "האבטחה הזו", הוא הסביר, "היא עולה הרבה כסף". הקהילה היהודית הייתה צריכה, בשלב הראשון, כמיליון דולר לכסות את העלויות החדשות. הממשלה לא נתנה את הכסף הזה, והקהילה היהודית נאלצה לגייס את הסכום בעצמה ומתוכה. בין הקהילה היהודית לבין ההנהגה, לרשויות, היה בשלב הזה כבר משבר אמון מוחלט והבעיות לא נגמרו שם, כי גם כשהסתכלו הצידה, לשכנים, לחברים הישנים, לאוסטרלים הלא יהודים. רבים בקהילה היהודית לא מצאו שם אוזן, לא מצאו כתף, לא היה חיבוק או אפילו ניסיון להבין.

Jessy: When we were suddenly saying “Hey, we’re not ok”, we were met with complete silence. So that started to put a distance between me and many friends, because I felt so unsupported in that time. and then, when I would bring that up, they would speak to me like, “Well, Antisemitisem, no, that does not really exist in this country. Oh, you’re exaggerating, Oh, you are reading into something, Oh, you are victimizing yourself”. And the jewish community was made to feel like, “Oh, come on. you’re just victimizing yourself constantly”.

‏אלעד: אם זו הייתה רק שתיקה מצד החברים האוסטרלים הלא יהודים, מילא. אבל היה שם יותר. ג'סי מתאר איך הוא ראה את מי שחשב שהם חברים שלו, משתתפים בהפגנות אנטי-ישראליות, צועקים שצריך להפוך את האינתיפאדה לגלובלית. זה הזכיר לי זוג ממלבורן ששוחחתי איתם, מגי וג'וש. שניהם היו בעלים של חנות מתנות, פיצ'פקעס כאלה, וכשבאוסטרליה חשפה עיתונאית קבוצת וואטסאפ ובה מאות יהודים ציונים, גם השם של ג'וש, שהיה חבר בקבוצה, גם השם שלו פורסם.

Josh: “When people found out that I was involved in running the business, they were… there was an online campaign on social media that was like: name and shame and boycott, and essentially directing abuse towards Meggy and I.”

‏אלעד: מגי וג'וש סיפרו לי על התעללות אונליין, על תגובות נאצה נגדם. הם סיפרו על ניסיונות להשחית את החנות שלהם, והם סיפרו איך בסוף נאלצו לעזוב, לסגור. ואז, כשהחנות כבר הייתה סגורה, הם ראו פתאום באינסטגרם משהו שהפך להם את הבטן.

Meggy: “The week we left, “Glory to Hammas” had been graffitied on the back of the store, and then we saw people posting photos on social media, sort of proudly standing next to this… this slogan. These were people who had shopped at the store for years, who had attended birthday parties with us, who we thought were friends. It was really disgusting behaviour.”

‏אלעד: על החנות שלהם רוססה הכתובת "תהילה לחמאס". אנשים התחילו להעלות סלפי שלהם לצד הגרפיטי. "אנשים" הכוונה לקוחות, לקוחות של שנים, לקוחות שג'וש ומגי ראו בהם חברים. כשהייתי שם, אנחנו דיברנו, לא מעט אנשים. דיברנו על העתיד של אוסטרליה, על כמה עוד חמור המצב יכול להיות. האופטימים מביניהם אמרו ש"יהיה בסדר". הייתה אישה נחמדה שתפסה אותי ביד ואמרה "אצלנו לא גרוע כמו אצלכם בלונדון". הפסימיים אמרו שכן, יהיה עוד רע יותר. והפסימים מאוד, הם חשבו שמה שקרה במלבורן חודש אחר כך, זה הדבר הכי גרוע שיכול לקרות.

7NEWS Melbourne reporter: “There is outrage from around the world tonight after an arson attack on a synagogue.”

‏אלעד: שני אלמונים פרצו לבית הכנסת "עדת ישראל", שפכו חומר דליק והציתו אותו. זה בית הכנסת העמוס ביותר בחצי הכדור הדרומי, זה הקטע שלו. כ-800 משפחות בית הכנסת משרת באופן קבוע. וכשהאחים בנג'מין וחיים קליין, שמנהלים את בית הכנסת, הוזנקו בבוקר על ידי המשטרה, הם הגיעו ונחרדו.

Benjamin Klein: “On the way to shul, we got to shul quite early, and arrived here and flames were still going. It was a very difficult experience, a very difficult thing. The smell is something that will never leave you. and just to know that our… everything has gone up in flames.”

Unknown man: “where is the Sefer Tora and the Tore as well…”

‏אלעד: אז, בדצמבר 2024, התייחסו בקהילה היהודית להצתת בית הכנסת כקריאת השכמה, כתמרור אזהרה, כמה שעוד אפשר לקרוא לרגע שבו כבר אי אפשר להכחיש, אי אפשר לתרץ, אי אפשר להאמין עוד שהמצב הוא לא חמור. המוסד בישראל העביר לשירותי הביון באוסטרליה מידע שאיראן עומדת מאחורי ההצתה, שהאיראנים מתכננים עוד מתקפות נגד הקהילה היהודית באוסטרליה. השגריר האיראני באוסטרליה גורש. לכאורה, והדבר הזה נבדק עכשיו, לכאורה, החוליה נוטרלה. ועדיין, האלימות באוסטרליה נמשכה, במה שאפשר לכנות "מתחת לרדאר". אלכס ריבצ'ין מסידני, הוא סיפר לי איך ריססו גרפיטי אנטישמי על האוטו שלו ואיך שפכו צבע אדום מחוץ לבית שלו. פרופסור סטיבן פראוור מאוניברסיטת מלבורן, הוא סיפר לי איך סטודנטים פרצו למשרד שלו ואיימו על חייו, רק כי הוא מייעץ בתוכנית משותפת של האוניברסיטה האוסטרלית עם האוניברסיטה העברית בירושלים.

Prof Steven Prawer: “When I left the protest and tried going to another area, they followed me calling: “Prawer, Prawer, you can’t hide, your’e guilty of genocide”. Anyone who knows me thinks, knows that I wouldn’t hurt a fly.”

‏אלעד: ניקולה, תלמידה בחטיבת ביניים, היא סיפרה לי איך חרטו צלבי קרס על השולחן שלה בבית הספר, איך פתחו חשבון טיק טוק עם תמונות שלה, שם כתבו שצריך להמית אותה בגז. אמא שלה, מנהלת תוכניות חינוכיות נגד אנטישמיות בבתי ספר באוסטרליה, והיא סיפרה שהם חוששים להביא ניצולי שואה להרצות לתלמידים, והם מבררים קודם עם הצוות החינוכי אם זה עלול לגרום בעיות. עוד ועוד סיפורים במרכאות "קטנים" כאלה, אישיים. ואז, בפברואר האחרון, אוסטרליה שוב עלתה לכותרות בכל העולם.

Max Veifer: “Let’s say, an Israeli, god forbid…”

Sarah Abu Lebdeh: “I won’t treat them, I won’t treat them, I’ll kill them.”

Max Veifer: “You’ll kill them? So if an Israeli is in Australia, and god forbid something happened to him, and he comes to your hospital…”

Sarah Abu Lebdeh: “Not god forbid, I hope to god.”

Max Veifer: “Would you kill him?”

Rashad Nadir: “OK, you have no idea how many Israeli hara dog came to this hospital, and [whistle] I’ve sent them to Gehanam.”

‏אלעד: שני אחים בבית חולים בסידני התגאו בשיחת וידאו עם פעיל פרו-ישראלי שהם הרגו מטופלים ישראליים. הם פוטרו, חקירה נגדם נפתחה במשטרה. וזה נשמע כמו קשקוש גמור, אבל אל רשימת הקבוצות או מוסדות באוסטרליה שבקהילה היהודית חשו שכבר אי אפשר לסמוך עליהם, הצטרפו אז גם חלק מהצוותים הרפואיים ובתי החולים. שנאה נגד יהודים, היא הפכה, בפרק זמן של שנתיים, למציאות היומיומית, למושרשת, לנוכחת. הנה, בסך הכל שלשום, פורסם סרטון שצילם אדם דתי יהודי באוטובוס, שטען שהאישה האוסטרלית שישבה לידו עם תיק שעליו דגל פלסטין, אמרה לו ולילדים שלו ש"היו צריכים להיות מושמדים בתאי הגזים".

Rabbi Yonason: “Because this lady here told us to go to a gas chamber.”

Woman: ”I wouldn’t say that. I wasn’t talking to you.”

Rabbi Yonason: “Yes you did. Look at this. Free Palestine, flag bag, Kafia. And she told us to go to a gas chamber. Hi, what’s…”

Woman: “Why would I say that?”

Rabbi Yonason: “Yeah, I don’t know. What’s your name, love?

Woman: “Stop harassing.”

Rabbi Yonason: “What’s your name, love?”

Woman: “Stop picking on me. Leave me alone.”

Rabbi Yonason: “A picking? don’t tell a jew to go to a gas chamber.”

Woman: “Why would I say that…?”

‏אלעד: זו כרוניקה של הידרדרות, זו כרוניקה של שנאה ואלימות. וככל שהיא התקדמה, הפסימיים מאוד באוסטרליה, הפסימיים ואפילו חלק מהאופטימים, אמרו שזה רק עניין של זמן עד שיגיע גם דם.

Jessy: Gradually, it leads to something like what happened today, where the overwhelming attitude I’ve heard from Jews here is: “I am shocked but I’m not surprised”. We all saw this coming.

‏אלעד: אז אחרי שהדליק נר ראשון בבית של אחותו, ג'סי העביר שעות בטלפונים לחברים מהקהילה היהודית. הסיפורים שהוא שמע מהם מצמררים.

Jessy: She called me before to tell me that one of the kids in her class was at the Hanukkah party this afternoon, and their little sibling, who’s about 2 and a half, or 3, was just hanging out there, and the gunman started shooting and a stranger jumped on the child to protect her, and the woman who had jumped on her was shot. Uh, I’m not… having… heard a confirmation whether she’s dead or alive, but this stranger saved a child, and for the community here it’s not some foreign distant child you’re just seeing on a TV screen, it’s someone real in our community that we know personally. So everybody is really deeply affected by this.

‏אלעד: זר שקפץ על ילדה ובכך הציל את חייה, אישה שניסתה לגונן על הילדה ונורתה. אל מול הרוע והשנאה של אב ובנו שביצעו את הפיגוע ורצחו לפחות 15, בלטו גם סיפורי גבורה. בלט הסיפור של אחמד אל אחמד, בן 43, שהצליח, במעשה הירואי, לתפוס את אחד המחבלים ולקחת ממנו את הנשק. ממול, המחבל השני ירה לאחמד הגיבור שני כדורים ביד ופצע אותו. הפיגוע הזה זיעזע את העולם. מנהיגים מיהרו לגנות, גם המנהיג של אוסטרליה.

Australia Prime Minister Anthony Albanese: “This is a targeted attack on jewish Australians on the first day of Hanukkah. An attack on jewish australians is an attack on every australian. there is no place for this hate, violence and terrorisme on our nation.”

‏אלעד: אלא שנדמה לי שכבר הבהרנו שהאירוע הנורא הזה מגיע אחרי שנתיים של יחסים מתוחים וחוסר אמון. שנתיים שהקהילה היהודית באוסטרליה מרגישה לבד. שנתיים שהם שמעו גינויים תקיפים, כן, אבל שנתיים שבהם הם מרגישים שלא היה הרבה מעבר.

Jessy: They say these false empty promises like “we will do everything we can to stop antisemitism in Australia”. But now we’ve lost 12 people in our community, maybe more, we have 29 wounded, and they can’t undo that, they can’t bring that back. So are we just expected to live in fear? I mean, what can they do now? It’s generational. They’ve in two years allowed a whole generation of hatred to brew, and all they can do is what? fund more security, so we can live as jews in secret, with some security guard out front? That’s not freedom. We don’t want to have to practice in secret, but what does next year’s Hanukkah look like for us? What can that government do? provide more police presence, but do you think any of the jews are gonna feel safe to go to a public park and light the chanukia? no. we’re going to have to do it in a private hall and make it unannounced and check everybody’s ID at the door, even more than we already do. and you’re probably not going to get half the attendance you did, because everyone is scared. Jessy: It’s made me truly question my future in this country. If I want to build a family here, is my child safer living in Israel, under the threat of rockets from the sky and having to spend 3 years in the army, versus being a jewish kid just going to a park, is an unsafe activity in Australia. So I need to weigh up which one of those two things is more important to me. So, in Israel, you still have the ability to walk down the street and say “I’m a Jew”, and a rocket might fall from the sky and hit you, but it’s unlikely that that stranger you meet on the street is gonna hate you for the fact that you're a Jew.
